Bill was one of our better Presidents, but he had certain proclivities that tended to be counter productive, to put it nicely.
At this point in time, I see Trump as the best choice going forward. Trump does not have the same kind of baggage that Biden has weighing him down. Notice how I never said Trump was one of our better Presidents. Just Trump is our best choice.
If Biden and Kamala are elected, I will definately be rooting for Kamala to do well. I would hope her experience as Vice President helps prepare her to be an effective President in the future. The key, as I see it, is Kamala showing leadership skills for all Americans, not just her base. Bush and Barack were way too partisan, causing deep resentment by the other side. It is not easy to find solutions that both sides can get behind, but having a comprehensive plan and deriving policy that encompasses several issues at once and that represents the interests of each side to a certain extent is better than shutting the other side out completely.
Trump has been very good at not being overly partisan. Look at the spending bills he agreed to. Look at his antiwar stance. Look at his ability to change his mind when he is on the wrong side of policy. Trump does not always change his mind when he is wrong on policy, but in my perception, he has a better record of admitting when he is wrong than any politician I can think of in modern history.
I remember your story about your daughter from when you told it before. Your words have conveyed lots of pride when talking about her. I respect you for being a good father. That wouldn’t save you from a well-deserved butt whipping when you need it, politically speaking of course. I was going to say intellectually speaking, but I swore off that kind of talk after you put the jinx on me previously.
