RM's occasional market calls...

Quote from shortie:

ZSL 13.17 (out with quick silver change in my pocket :) )
Thanks RM! keep those "publicity stunts" coming! :D

You're welcome!

I'm still holding the entire position here, but if silver sells off just a little bit more, my limit orders to exit are going to start getting hit...
ZSL current price: $13.14

Shortie, what do retaildaytrader mean from this.

Quote from retaildaytrader:

Wait a second. You said you put "75% of buying power" into the ZSL, but now you are going back on what you said? If silver wasnt tanking like it is today then would you reply back differently?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shortie, if silver go down today, why Rearden would

"but now you are going back on what you said?"
this is what retaildaytrader say in above quote

Because the bigger money on the bet is good for Rearden, why will he "go back" on what he said?...

retaildaytrader makes some assumptions that are not backed up by the evidence. of course he could still gain some credibility by making real-time calls that actually work :D :D

To me it look like retaildaytrader not see Rearden play (short)

Every once in a while, RM will come out with one of these threads disguised as a "trading journal". Then you see these long diatribes describing his personal history. It makes you question why was the thread started. Was the thread started to highlight RM's trades or so we can get another earful of RM's personal history. In fact, RM has all of the past posts bookmarked so he can link them here.

Who sits there and bookmarks their posts for reference later? Only someone who has some type of agenda to push. So the trades of SLV or ZSL or silver or whatever are just posted as a disguise so we can read more of RM's meanderings about how he was with this or that trading firm.

I honestly dont know or dont care about his agenda, but I thought I might post to this thread to demonstrate to RM that we are not all as ignorant as he thinks.

There is a simple solution to your problem with RM. The ignore list. Or at the very least, please stop posting in this thread.

Let us poor ignorant folk read the thread in peace.

Retaildaytrader, if Rearden have the agenda to something different of this journal , then he want to make the good bet here to this journal to look good for him, true? So the reader know Rearden will use his trading skill all to the best for the journal.
So I think is something very good to read and watch.

Hey, I am just pointing out the obvious. If Rearden wants to post a history or discourse about himself, then why not label the threat directly discussing his history. Everytime I see one of these threads of his, we get an earful of his history.

Look write a book, author a blog or even create a directly worded thread.

my thoughts on risks involved when following RM calls (not in any particular order):
1. RM made great calls before but that does not mean he still HAS IT (the latest calls do suggest that he still knows what he is doing but we actually won't know with reasonable certainty until this thread is over)
2. Previously he only made occasional calls. If he increases his call frequency there is a danger akin to overtrading
3. There is always the market risk, no call is 100% risk-free
4. There is always the risk that RM handle has been hijacked (not saying it is the case here)
5. Add more if you have thought of other risks...

to the critics i say this:
1. the calls are free and a couple of agenda posts just make the thread a more interesting read.
2. RM disclosed his drawdowns before and Oct 2008 drawdown in particular earlier in this thread. This is more disclosure than one gets from subscription services with dubious market calls and here the price tag $0 (plus added bonus of entertaining agenda posts :)).

So you're whining because people ask me questions and I provide them with comprehensive answers? Really?! I found your trolling efforts to be slightly annoying at first, but now that six different guys have stepped up to get my back, you've now been reduced to nothing more than an amusing plaything.

Remember that scene in the first Wall Street movie when Gekko sends a surprise gift to his up-and-coming protégé Bud Fox? Fox was gifted with a smoking hot hooker, a line or two of coke and a limousine, as I recall. Well, just imagine 'retaildaytrader' as Bud Fox:

<i>"Is this the best Gordon Gekko could do? He obviously has an agenda! He wouldn't be sending all these things to some random homeless guy out of the goodness of his heart, I know that for sure. Besides, just <i>one</i> hooker? That's all?! Pathetic. And this blow is totally chopped- I've had way more pure stuff than this, plus the limo is last year's model..."</i> :D
