An edge can be a one time coin flip.
Arbitrage is an edge but you can’t backtest it for one year before to go live otherwise you’ll more than likely miss the opportunity.
How many time does Soros have to break the bank of Egland for you to consider it an edge ?

You or I do not have millions of dollars to keep averaging into losing short position like Soros did until the trade goes our way.
You can not prove to me or show me one trader on this planet who has manual day trading edge with a track record of +1 year, so get that edge stuff out of here.
I will proceed with the easiest less time efficient trading method: Stare at the chart and guess and click and hope to make money everyday within 15 minutes. Because noone on ET forum can prove me wrong otherwise.

I am bullshitting with you of course, but I am serious. You talking all that theory with Risk and Edge and this and that stuff, but that do not pay no bills.
We are traders, we need money. Every trader with a brain understands risk. Yeah, do not blow your damn bank account, its not rocket science. Thats all the risk I need to know.
But how can a trader put money in his/her pocket everyday quickly!!! I know how. Stare at the chart and click and do your best.
Discretionary trading is like satan worship to me. Gotta respect their right to do it, but I'm thinknig to myself "what the actual fuck is wrong with them".
