I have developed over 40 patterns of entries, exits and most important of when to hedge open profits. I only trade very long term futures and forex on some 60+ multiple markets.

Trading some futures there are limits as volume and open interest are light and what I use for hedges.

And problem with forum, you just don't know who you are chatting.

IBD could have been wrong to dislike them[C]; turns out they were right years ago + this year.

You named a good example for one kind of risk management:

Follow the leader. C with S Weill, GE, J Welch, IBM, L Gerstner.... followed them and exited when they retired. That way, you limit your risks and preserve your gains.

So, For risk management, I will exit my BRK holding when W Buffett leaves.

Sounds good usually;
I tend to confirm anything by price + volume + trend study, my notebook ...........
By the way, BRK , =major hold by SPY, Vanguard 500,Fidelity 500, Bill + M Gates foundation;
almost a good ETF by itself.
WB tends to be a good planner , but I dont follow him muchLOL
