Ginger Baker was in a different league than the other three.
How so?
Baker was a Jazz drummer who happened to play some rock. I'd group him with Mitch Mitchell.
Then he was in a different genre. He certainly wasn't in another league.
I wouldn't be so certain of that. He played in the same "genre", but was a very different drummer.
It's fine, you just have your terminology off a bit. "in a different league" means that he was better than the other three and that was just not the case.
No, my terminology isn't off, that's exactly what I meant. Also, out of place in that group of the "fantastic four."

be in a different league
to be much better than something or someone else:
Our last hotel was good but this was in a different league.

Baker was not in a different league from the other 3----no way, no how.---and yes, he belongs in The Fantastic Four.

lol, are you trying to argue? You didn't have to pull up a dictionary meaning, I already confirmed that is what I meant when I said it.

There were plenty of drummers back then and now who were/are "in a different league" then all of your "fantasic four," but Baker may have hung with them, somewhat.
