I can't find it, but I believe it was Dole who said, "government is a necessary evil. Democrats focus on the necessary part, republicans on the evil part." I've always liked that one.

Bipartisan American Patriot

My grandfather (WWII veteran) and my father (Vietnam veteran) highly talked about Senator Bob Dole with praises more than anyone else. I know U.S. veterans all over the world are watching his funeral service today at the Washington National Cathedral as I am.
