There is another larger point, right wing minorities vote for the liberal/left parties on foreign soil even if they agree on many right wing policies with the local right wing party since local right wing policies tend to be nativist, racist and anti-immigrant - they are voting purely for their immediate survival needs rather than having a political vision. You can talk to a lot of South Asian voters and they support right wing political parties in their own countries while supporting Democrats within US. They cannot be called liberals since they don't have any ideological commitment to liberal values.

Everyone becomes a liberal when they are in foreign land or at least pretends to.
