That was depressing. It would be hard to take sides after looking at those pictures of her. I can see how the family wants to cling, but not a good way to live. Her jaw is like that from non-use of the muscles used to chew with.

i don't know all the details of this particular case, but this is why people need wills. i know in mine i'm going to put that they can't do this to me. i don't want to be kept alive with the brain power of a snail.

btw, instead of making dying people live until their body physically stops, people should be able to choose to be put to sleep.

Well a lot of older people do commit suicide -- generally after a spouse dies ...
