In Nov the year prior to the election in aggregate polling Obama was ahead in 2007,Obama was ahead in 2011,Hillery was ahead in 2015 and Biden was ahead in 2012,all won the popular vote a year later.
In Nov the year prior to the election the incumbent presidents with double digit negative net approval ratings lost re election the following year.
A lot more happened yesterday than the KY governor race.

If you think a party winning on the local level means their presidential nominee will do so on the national level you have a lot to learn about politics.Republicans won multiple races on the local level in multiple states that Trump lost in 2020.
Trump lost 2020,but The GOP finished with 62 state legislators compared to Dems 37.By your logic Trump should have won since republicans won on the local level.
