Not only did the US economy add a surprising 253,000 jobs in April, but the labor participation rate has also jumped back up to pre-covid levels. Bad news for Biden, etc.

As an fyi, denying asylum seekers at the border from countries other than Mexico has been a Republican policy position on asylum. Biden is set to institute it.

I don’t think it’s a shitty idea at all. Our border with Mexico has become an international gateway and that is not what it is supposed to be. Asylum is not meant for economic migrants. If someone has a true asylum claim it can be properly vetted in their country of origin. Not to mention if these are true asylum seekers, it is much easier for asylum seekers to travel to US embassies and consulates in their own countries than traveling across multiple countries.
