The Vice doesn't have the same authority as the POTUS. Most reasonably intelligent people can easily comprehend that that wouldn't be a fair comparison.
Regarding your covid comparison:
Biden must take credit for what he's done in two months with the cages etc.
And, Biden gets credit for what he's done in two months with covid.
Now, if Biden should have solved the unaccompanied-child immigration issue in 2-3 months, while fighting a pandemic, and he didn't do that; then he failed in your (and in the people that "think" like you) eyes.
But most reasonably intelligent people understand such a complicated issue, can't be resolved that quickly, especially while fighting a pandemic. Nobody really cares what stupid people think.
