Ridin' with Biden

I'll bet you any amount that the UAW endorses Biden.
Yes I agree
They might be holding out to get Biden to take their side against the car manufacturers
I think the President should be more balanced in his role

The last U.S. president to show such support for striking workers was probably Theodore Roosevelt, Suri said. In 1902, Roosevelt invited striking coal workers to the White House with government officials and management, concerned that the country faced a coal shortage.

Ahead of the precedent-shattering meeting, Roosevelt, like Biden, found himself with little leverage to negotiate.

lol 1/3rd votes GOP. What a ringing endorsement! I think it's fcking HILARIOUS that Biden is front-running Trump and will be on the ground with the UAW.

And further, zero fcks given whether the trip was planned before Trump's announced trip, but clearly the logistics were in place before Rump announced.

Biden loses the optics of caring and support by announcing after Trump
Political you always want to be first when trying help people

lol the trip was planned prior to Trump's announcement. Obv Trump found out about USSS-plans and tried to one-up.

90% of UAW-constituent donations go to Dems. 90%.

For example, the NLRB—run by Trump’s hand-picked corporate cronies—imposed additional, unnecessary steps to the union election procedure solely to drag out the process and give employers more time to thwart organizing efforts.

And the agency went further, empowering employers to begin withholding email addresses and other information unions need merely to contact prospective voters.

The board also ruled that employers may discipline a worker just for mentioning a union drive to a colleague during work hours. In a decision rooted in spite, rather than logic, it concluded the mere reference to an organizing effort—even an offhand remark—constituted an illegal solicitation of a colleague’s vote.

The NLRB is ostensibly responsible for protecting workers’ rights. But under Trump, it’s stacking the deck in favor of greedy corporations desperate to silence workers’ voices and bust unions at any cost.

Yes It hurts the democrats to lose over 30% of the union vote to Trump...In fact it could be fatal to Biden in 2024
Not all union members are happy with the union organization, Unions can cause ongoing conflict with management ( the workers bosses)and also the Union politics

Gallup’s data on job satisfaction also complicates the union battle. Nonunion workers express higher levels of job satisfaction than union members.
Twenty-seven percent of workers who are union members say they are engaged at work, less than the 33% of nonunion members, and Gallup states that this “engagement gap between union and nonunion workers could be significant to employers,” because engaged employees tend to be more productive. Gallup also finds that 24% of union members are “actively disengaged” at work, compared with 17% of nonunion workers. That means they are not just unhappy at work, but resentful.

lol you have nothing to back it up. Yes, it would hurt Trump if say 29% of UAW voted GOP. I think you stopped taking math in the 3rd grade and have absolutely no data to back up your claims.

Does this help or hurt Trump?

Any union votes for the GOP hurt Democrats a lot

In order to continue your side of this discussion you do a 180 from the subject of Union voters to an article about independent voters.
You have just conceded this debate on union voters going to the GOP

Moving on to Independents voters, Yes this is a big issue for Trump. Independents vote more on economy and crime. Biden is not good on these

Here is an ABC poll
Independents prefer Trump to Biden by 8 points, candidates otherwise even along party lines: poll

No, I am not. I am citing the absurdity of your argument. You choose a figure and defend it w/o any proof, link or historical analogs. You have no idea 1) whether it's legit (30%) 2), whether it's increasing or decreasing.

His loss of independent votes calls to the fact that he is losing across all demographics other then degen nihilists/losers/450 FICOs.

To use your expression... Trump is turning it around 360-degrees.

Is it increasing or decreasing??

Here is the history of the union vote since Reagan
Reagan got 45% of the union vote
Clinton won the vote by 30 points
You can see the spread drop sharply for Trump in 2016
