59 seconds? Am I missing something?

Good job!

You won';t believe how many people get this wrong.
I had one guy doing exponential functions

Yes you should switch. We learned about this in pyschology. Nobody in the class got it really, though.

If you think about it like this it helps to see why:

If there were a 1000 doors and you choose one and the host closes the other 998 doors would you switch?? Ofcourse! The chance of you getting it right the first time is 1/1000. So chances are you get it wrong the first time and when it is narrowed down to two doors, the other one has to be right! THe same goes for a 3 door problem.

interesting....

Full version is that he's on an expedition to the north pole (or south, i forget which- it's the one with penguins) and they get lost in a freak blizzard. Wife dies of exhaustion and his friends tell him they buried her in a snowbank, you can guess the rest.

This is a thread for riddles!

So if you want to challenge your fellow ET'ers put your best one up and see if the bright minds (cough) here can solve it.

I'll start with a fairly popular one:

What can you measure but can't touch?

Only post answers if you "got it" not if you already heard it from somewhere else. And no googling!!

:)
Time

Am I late

yep,

The first time I heard the story, they were in a ship wreck close to the pole, stranded on an ice covered island, his best friend died.. the rest is pretty much the same. Good riddle:cool:
