Let me state that the majority of blacks who are my age who I know as neighbors, friends, or co-workers in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina are all Democrats except for a couple. In my social/work/neighborhood circle all of these people are educated and upper-middle class.

I will note one interesting point is that a number of their children diverge from their parents' political affiliation and align themselves as either Republican or non-affiliated - which I find rather odd but I think it is more a "be different than your parents type of thing" rather than some deep political metamorphosis.

I don’t believe Mr. Laces out has had any real interactions or relationships with many black people in America. Personally, I know a lot of black people, personally and professionally, some of whom are involved in politics, across the wealth spectrum and only one of them is a Republican.

What laces out is perpetuating is a racist stereotype that is based on total ignorance. It doesn’t take into account how people live, what they have come from or what they are capable of.

Black people are on the ascension in this country, especially black women. They are increasingly getting college degrees and moving into the middle class. They are also driving the democrats agenda.

Black middle class has not grown much in the last 50 years.
63% of Blacks were working poor/poor in 1967...now it's 46%. An improvement but hardly a ...
but blacks are more than twice as likely to be 'poor' than whites....
Black Americans are more likely to be recipients of means-tested welfare - twice the national average.
blacks marry less, achieve lower in schools, more likely to be single parents.....

And the point is: The more money a black person makes, the more likely they are to stop towing the party line of the Dems which has kept them in perpetual poverty.
