Richard Clarke - Against All Enemies

Quote from Turok:

LOL...Haunt them HOW? You seem to forget that the most Americans memories are about 30 minutes long when it comes to political garbage.

Even the wording the Frist uses in the accusation has got back doors in it a mile wide...

"Mr. Clarke has told two entirely different stories under oath,"

That is a statement of OPINION...how the hell is that going to "haunt" anyone?

As I said before...maybe he lied, but just because Frist says two different stories are being told does not a lie prove.

I say PROVE IT or don't say it's "proven"

JB

JB ........you honestly think that the media and the Dems would not exploit this in the future if the Reps were wrong. Like in a future election.
I mean they dredge things up from 30 years ago for political propaganda

Talking dirty with Neil Bush

For a cheap thrill (along with a spine-tingling jolt of maximum power), it's hard to top the divorce deposition of presidential sibling Neil Bush.

The dirty Q&A is the legalese equivalent of the Paris Hilton video. Though produced in private 10 months ago, during Neil's nasty split from wife Sharon, the 270-page document has been making its way in recent days to gossips around the country, including yours truly.

Here are some stomach-flipping excerpts of Sharon Bush's attorney, Marshall Davis Brown, mercilessly grilling President Bush's wayward little brother:

Bush: "I had sexual intercourse with perhaps three or four, I don't remember the exact number, women, at different times. In Thailand once, I have a pretty clear recollection that there was one time in Thailand and in Hong Kong."

Brown: "And you were married to Mrs. Bush?"

Bush: "Yes."

Brown: "Is that where you caught the venereal diseases?"

Bush: "No."

Brown: "Where did you catch those?"

Bush: "Diseases plural? I didn't catch..."

Brown: "Well, I'm sorry. How ... how many venereal diseases do you suffer from?"

Bush: "I've had one venereal disease."

Brown: "Which was?"

Bush: "Herpes."

Brown then interrogates Bush's about his various sex partners: "Did you pay them for that sex?"

Bush: "No, I did not."

Brown: "Pick them up in a sushi house?"

Bush: "No. ... My recollection is, where I can recall, they came to my room."

Brown: "Do you know the name of that hotel? I may go to Thailand sometime."

Sharon and Neil are now divorced, and Robert Andrews - ex-husband of Neil's fiance, Maria Andrews - is suing Sharon for her repeated claims that Maria's young child is Neil's. In the meantime, maybe the Pentagon should dispatch Marshall Brown to chat up Saddam Hussein. - http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/150848p-132934c.html

Quote from ARogueTrader:

Fickle?

Was Bush fickle to move from an anti-nation building position pre presidency to the current nation building efforts in Iraq?

Or is it a matter of re-thinking the situation?

The point is that you can have an opinion at one time, and change the opinion at a later time without having lied with the second opinion which is different or even opposite from the first opinion.

That is why any attempt to convict Clarke on perjury would fail, because he was stating opinion, not a fact.

I think you are confusing it a little... He was/is always in favor of free Iraq........and any hostile government.

I know this because we had a drink together while discussing the possibilities of $40 crude.............LOL

Of course they would try to exploit it. That is the game. But the FIRST rule of the game is to protect HERE AND NOW. Bob, weave, counter punch, FUD and buy time while any scandal blows over. Clinton, Reagan, all of them are masters at it or they wouldn't have made it where they are.

Not at all.

I laugh at your keeping score of "points."

Truly the sign of someone who needs a win of sorts.
What score? You specifically failed in your rebuttal on the issue in question, plus, your psycho-babble-analysis is a ridiculous method of supplementing your "argumentation."

The reason that I brought Condoleezza Rice into my discussion is because it went to the credibility of Richard Clarke, who you have already stated "is a liar . . . and it has been proven."

Hardly.

This is absolutely absurd especially given the fact that these documents have yet to be "declassified" AND as ArogueTrader has pointed out, Bill Frist's statement concerning Clarke is simply voicing an opinion, and not fact. You've got a lot to learn if you think that IT has "already been proven."

As for George Tenet, you failed to answer my question . . .

Unless the way that you answer a question about the Bush Administration ( of which Tenet is a part of ) is to simply throw it back to Bill Clinton and his administration, which I have already pointed out is a distinct and highly typical tendency of yours. If you think that George Tenet is a Clinton "flunkie" then why hasn't Bush fired him? Tenet dropped the ball on 911, he dropped the ball on the attack on the U.S.S. Cole, and once again on the bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, and yet Bush hasn't dismissed him. Why is that?

Again, you still haven't answered that specific question.
