Are you referring to the classified material?

>LOL........

And the question is funny how?

JB

I thought you were being sarcastic and that you knew what I was talking about. My mistake.
But I saw it on TV and now Max posted it.

Quote from Turok:

Ok, Cuz has referred to "proven" lies by Clarke.

Max kindly reponded to my question with a link to Fox News (with material I had already read, but thanks again Max)

Since Cuz will only laugh at my question I have no way of knowing if the link that Max provided is the same material as Cuz refers to, but IF IT IS, THERE IS NOTHING PROVEN THERE.

Hey, perhaps he lied...I don't yet know and it would sure as hell influence my feelings about his credibility. However, having Bill Frist say it's so doesn't make it so.

Far from "proven" so far.

JB

Come on man why the hell would they want to declassify it wasn't a lie.

Well, perhaps they know they CAN'T get it declassified and thus it is a FREE PASS to say he was lying.

There are lots of reasons in the game called Washington.

Please... And have it come back and haunt them at some unknown time? Give me a break.

Quote from ARogueTrader:

People don't seem to understand the difference between someone's opinion, and a statement of fact.

Bob says: "I think Sally is pretty."

One year later Bob says:

"I think Sally is ugly."

Is the second statement a lie?

Clarke says: "I think the adminstration did a good job."

One year later:

"I think the administration did a lousy job"

Is the second statment a lie?

It is foolish to think Clarke could be convicted of perjury based on his comments.

The joke is that the republicrats blame the democans of politicizing the issue. What they hell are they doing?

You're right they bash each other, but to use your analogy I couldn't give credibility to anyone who is that fickle

Not at all.

I laugh at your keeping score of "points."

Truly the sign of someone who needs a win of sorts.

Quote from max401:

You digress from the the point you just got blown out on.

LOL...Haunt them HOW? You seem to forget that the most Americans memories are about 30 minutes long when it comes to political garbage.

Even the wording the Frist uses in the accusation has got back doors in it a mile wide...

"Mr. Clarke has told two entirely different stories under oath,"

That is a statement of OPINION...how the hell is that going to "haunt" anyone?

As I said before...maybe he lied, but just because Frist says two different stories are being told does not a lie prove.

I say PROVE IT or don't say it's "proven"

JB

Fickle?

Was Bush fickle to move from an anti-nation building position pre presidency to the current nation building efforts in Iraq?

Or is it a matter of re-thinking the situation?

The point is that you can have an opinion at one time, and change the opinion at a later time without having lied with the second opinion which is different or even opposite from the first opinion.

That is why any attempt to convict Clarke on perjury would fail, because he was stating opinion, not a fact.
