RGIII doesn't show up! What a surprise!

So, if a QB throws 3td passes, 0 ints, completes 65% of his passes, no fumbles, and rushes for another TD but the team loses 31-28 because the defense stinks, that indicates that the QB stinks??

You're thinking is beyond flawed my friend. The reason stats exist outside of W/L is because there are so many variables that can affect the outcome of a game.

Quote from wildchild:

The qb rating scale is one of the most flawed and meaningless indicators in all of sports. The NFL is not a stats league. Often times, teams and players with great stats can't translate it to victories.

That other thread he started was also a train wreck.

You have to come to terms with the fact that Wildchild has the emotional IQ of a middle school fanboy. The guy is not rational (or is a mega troll), it's hard to decide.

Quote from R. Raskolnikov:

So Hall of Famer Troy Aikman was a total NFL bust when he took the Cowboys to 1-15 his rookie year and that BUM Peyton Manning has really flopped in the NFL due to his 3-13 rookie campaign. LOL

You look at the career. I have already stated that Luck will have a better career than RGIII.

Not rational? There are actually people on this thread claiming that RGIII is better than Tom Brady. For real?

Who is not rational?

Wildchild, you missed this post...

And....so far....RGIII has had a better career than Luck. Long term, you may be right. But that's not what this or the other thread you started are about. You said RGIII doesn't show up....yet he had a 102+ QBR, his team won 10 games, he threw 20 TDS and only 5 INTS and he rushed for over 800 yds (6.8 yds/carry...and 7 TDS). Luck numbers, overall, were far lower. The QB rating reflects this. Plus....they both went the same distance in the playoffs! The Skins won their division, the Colts didnt and the AFC South was a weaker division.

You keep losing this battle, but I'll give you credit for persistence :p

I won the battle and the war. Now we have to look towards the future. How will season two play out?

RGIII had the better season but Luck will have the better career imo .Due to his size and style RG will not last long as a top level QB in The NFL imo

Right, so you immediately cite the most absurd comparisons without acknowledging the many reasonable arguments about RGIII's excellent season.

For some reason, it seems to most of us that you are unwilling or unable to even ACKNOWLEDGE that RGIII had a good rookie season...it's just an "either/or" argument to you...Like I said you possess the emotional IQ of a 12 year old sitting around the lunch table with his player cards.

(btw, as another poster here mentioned, the QBR is a pretty standard benchmark for QB performance. You might want to check it out sometime.)
