I saw this article about your girl Stacy potentially being picked by Joe to be on the court if he gets a chance.

We know that Joe will be giving equal consideration to several black women but I wanted to ask you if you thought that Stacy had what it took to tip the scales if needed? :cool:

Maybe Trump should beat him to the punch, appoint her, get re-elected, and then stack the court with two more cons.

For real though, and I know this will garner me some hate.... but there should be a black woman on the Supreme Court.

I don't know who, but someone that came up poor, has an open mind, a rock solid education, and a strong history of constitutional interpretation. Balance is a good thing Tree... maybe such a candidate doesn't exist, not my cup of tea... but I do believe the court needs a black woman who has seen it all. Our country does too.

Oh I don't disagree with that. Another hispanic this time is good too, and then a black woman next time around or at least as a top consideration. Not as the only consideration though.

Let's not kid ourselves though. When the dems talk about the need to have a black woman on the court they mean a black democratic woman or else they will play a leadership role in trying to destroy her. As they did to Clarence Thomas. And to put a finer point on it, I could say as Joe Biden did to Clarence Thomas. You would have to have a death wish to be a black republican woman and appearing before dem senators on the confirmation committee. They believe that you cease to be both a woman and a black unless you play on their team. You could argue that, duh, yes the dems would want the black woman to be a democrat but I am saying that she would be treated as an enemy, not just as someone they would not be preferred or desired. That is not right. Refer to Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas for more on this.

Come to think of it, Joe is still at that routine isn't he? Us-and-Them Joe.

The confirmation hearings will all be about how many different times and ways you ask a person if they believe that Roe v. Wade is settled law. So then Lagoa or Amy keep saying "it is mostly settled law but I can not discuss it further because those issues may arise before me should I be confirmed to the court. AND ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND WE GO.

And of course with Amy they are going to keep working the religious test with her over and over, pissing on Catholics every step of the way, and ignoring the fact that the very constitution that the hearings are all about finds that line of questioning to be repugnant. Feinstein said to Amy in her previous hearing: "Dogma speaks loudly in you." Ya sure bitch. And you gonna say that to a muslim nominee? Ahhh, I don't think so. Go back to China, Feinstein.

Be nice to see either Amy or Lagoa testify. After the dem primaries, I am sick of seeing stupid and mean women.

And yes, nominating Amy or Lagoa would be the ultimate repudiation of Ginsburg. But they say that like it is a bad thing. It is not.
