intraday any thing can happen....that is why it is almost impossible to make money intraday and this is more so true in forex...
in forex there is no regulator...
The Labor Party who lost the election this weekend against all odds were going to tax the shit out of everyone, including pensioners. Then they were going to hand out free money for dental treatment and cancer. In other words pour taxpayer money down this big fucking hole.

my method is far from perfect...though it is getting better...may have to debug a bit

Well I trade by predictions, and it earns me a nice living. That down trend was doomed for failure, news aside. I could just look at the structure of it and see it was going to reverse. Whether it hits new highs or not is of no importance. You are the one saying u like to scalp. Exiting at the bottom where I said to exit was your best chance to lock in profits. Now the trade of yours is underwater.
Start looking at healthy downtrends. Hundreds of them. Then look at ones that eventually get reversed. Look at the differences in structure. Ahh ahh moments will come about. Write down what u see, develop a plan accordingly.
