Trump extended it until march with the provision that congress needed to reach an agreement by then. You think he is going to extend it if no bill is enacted with a wall or some ultra-enhanced security provisions in it?

If you are going to follow that stupid strategy, you might want to alter your campaign message a little to: "Vote for me and we will bring the daca kids back from mexico and beyond. Not to worry, most likely you still remember what they look like."

In fact, failure on the part of the dems to agree to enhanced border security is going to allow the republicans to successfully argue that it proves that the dems were never interested in border security and if you elect them they will immediately move toward open borders just as Hillary and Bernie want.

Why do we need to find funding for a tiny amount like $12 billion? Obama didn't find funding for $10 trillion dollars of projects while he was in office. Why weren't you concerned when Obama was running up the debt? Was it because he was funding things YOU wanted? Well now it's our turn. We fund things WE want and you can't do anything about it.

I think a lot of obamas debt was
1. The Iraq war which he didn't start but, these are tough to get out of
2. The fed balance sheet which probably saved the American economy. You could argue that operation twist went on too long - but obama doesn't control the fed.

Should be fun watching the dems splain that to daca families when the kids start getting deported in March. "Oh don't worry, you will get a chance to vote new people and a new president in who will take office in 2021."

Not to forget there is a midterm in 2018 except Trump with the veto power is there through 2020 so you would have to bring in a lot of dems to counter his veto power. And if you just brought in some more but not enough to override the veto, then you are bringing in people who are even less likely to reach a deal with Trump which will make daca deportments even more likely.

Because you are the perfect self-appointed spokesman for undocumented Hispanics, you are more sure than the rest of us that if hispanics had a choice between seeing all the dacas be deported versus seeing them stay but having to tolerate Trump getting some wall funding that they would prefer to just be deported. Yeh. You lefties gonna be getting an earful you had not planned on. I know they are on the dem plantation but you don't always get to speak for them. But when you do, it is really goofy.

And as I said before, if the dems don't sign up for some major border enhancements - even if it is not the wall- the republicans are going to have a field day with it and argue/prove that for the dems it was never about comprehensive immigration reform, it was always just about amnesty and then letting new waves of illegals come in so that they can get amnesty down the road too. The same old chain immigration.

Also lolz at thinking DACA is going away and Republicans wanting to deal with the backlash of tax paying immigrants being hauled away from their homes on national TV.

Besides Trump backpedaling on the March deadline, the worst I've heard from Republicans is a 1.5 billion compromise for the wall, and that's with the democrat's opposition. I'm sure they'll have enough funding for about a mile and call it a victory.
