Does anyone have any experience with Reuters live quote/news platform. I am aware that many of the professional commodities traders and many of the commercials use if for their quotes, charts, news, etc. Everything but order entry. Is this an expensive product -- is it feasible for the individual trader? Pros/cons?

I have BridgeStation and Kobra, both are Reuters products. I am a broker so I don't have to pay for them out of pocket, or else they would probably not be economical. As far as functionality, I have TradeStation (for backtesting) and have worked with several other platforms/data-providers and with the exceptions of a Bloomberg on your desk, the Reuters products are superior to many of the more retail oriented products on the market.
How much are you expecting to pay? Reuters gives discounts for bulk purchases, and even with that my Bridge costs upwards of 1K a month (with almost every exchange you can think of), Kobra almost twice that, though it has a fantastic news feed...

If you do try Quotecenter as mokwit suggests, and if you
use tick charts in your trading, beware. The charting is
called Athena and the tick charts miss ticks like crazy.
Very undependable.
They do have Metastock charting as an add on. Metastock
is more accurate but the interface is poor and is cumbersome
to use IMHO.
