Goldman Sachs is not buying Lehman: sources

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS - News) is not pursuing an acquisition of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc (NYSE:LEH - News), reflecting concerns that integrating two large investment banks would be too disruptive, sources familiar with the situation said on Thursday.

this sure seems like bashing for the sake of bashing. it's not like talks broke down or something. goldman was never considering buying lehman anyway.

why not just release a bunch of news saying

walmart is not considering buying lehman
chevron is not considering buying lehman
amazon is not considering buying lehman
...
 
Unlike the rest of the fools in the industry, Goldman puts rumours to rest as soon as they appear. That's why they are the smartest guys in the room.

It's also funny that Goldman's stock is trading up on the news. :p
 
tired of the rumors, they are just throwing rumors left and right....this is the 3rd or 4th time someone was going to either be buying or investing in LEH and every single time its been false, enough....

If GS did say they were in takls with LEH there stock would crash. Thats why know one is saying anything. Lehman is trash.

GS down 2.75% they are the biggest crooks on the street. MS is the best and most honest, thst why they are holding up much better then the crooked firms.
