Retail sales tumble 0.4% in April

Sales at food stores fell 1%. Sales at restaurants and bars rose 0.2%

Perhaps this is why is doesn't look like a recession at face value. People go out to eat and restaurants are still busy

Americans will still be lazy... No matter how bad the economy is. Pay an extra buck or 2 for someone else to cook your meal vs shopping and having to cook and clean up.

Gotta love that American attitude. lol
