How do I change my IP address?

"How do I change my IP address?" and "Can I change my IP address?" are probably the most commonly asked questions. Please attempt the following then, if that does not work, visit the Change IP Address forum.

Before trying any other methods to change your IP address, try turning off (or unplugging the power of) your Cable/DSL modem for five minutes. In many cases this will change your IP address. However, if that does not change your IP address, repeat the process for 8 hours (overnight works well) instead of 5 minutes. Hopefully this will result in an IP change.

If the above does not result in your IP address changing, please look through the below for the situation that best matches yours and attempt to change your IP address that way. Unfortunately you are not able to get your IP address to change in all cases, as it is ultimately determined by your ISP's DHCP configuration (when you've got a dynamically assigned IP address, that is.)

You also claimed I post from a library, stand behind that post coward

Neither you, nor that idiot drunk, Ricter trade (not even "just a little bit").

And then yesterday it was revealed that your old "alias", Range Rover was IP traced to a public library. Seriously, what business do you have discussing ANYTHING pertaining to the financial markets?

Funny how you believed in IP's 3 hours ago

Whenever you're ready to bet your posting privileges that I'm posting from a public library I'm ready coward

Let me make this simple for you, dimwit.

Range Rover (the guy you claim not to be, despite all the obvious proof that you ARE RANGE ROVER), had his IP traced to a public library more than 2 years ago.

Now that you go by ak47, odds are VERY HIGH that in the past 2 years your IP address has either been changed by YOU or that YOU are posting at another locale.

I make wise bets and I've already proven that you are Range Rover, unless of course, one is led to believe that two people with the exact same m.o. and posting frequency can misspell the past tense of "loss" repeatedly.

Don't worry, I'll keep reminding people that you are Range Rover...I'll just "copy and paste" the same quotes again and again until you admit to it.

and obama's policies account for these new drilling methods.
you just made my point.

Its not the guy who refuses to create pipelines who created a surge in supply.

US could soon overtake Saudi Arabia as world's biggest oil producer; output is booming

By Jonathan Fahey, The Associated Press | Associated Press – Tue, Oct 23, 2012

NEW YORK, N.Y. - U.S. oil output is surging so fast that the United States could soon overtake Saudi Arabia as the world's biggest producer.

Driven by high prices and new drilling methods, U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons is on track to rise 7 per cent this year to an average of 10.9 million barrels per day. This will be the fourth straight year of crude increases and the biggest single-year gain since 1951.

The boom has surprised even the experts.

"Five years ago, if I or anyone had predicted today's production growth, people would have thought we were crazy," says Jim Burkhard, head of oil markets research at IHS CERA, an energy consulting firm.

The Energy Department forecasts that U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons, which includes biofuels, will average 11.4 million barrels per day next year. That would be a record for the U.S. and just below Saudi Arabia's output of 11.6 million barrels. Citibank forecasts U.S. production could reach 13 million to 15 million barrels per day by 2020, helping to make North America "the new Middle East."

An interesting development in light of the fact we are now a distillates exporter. I see a lot of income ahead.

It does have potential.
