The answer is an unequivocal YES. Because GREED leads to irrational decisions. Most of us flock to what we believe can make money in a short period of time, and possibly make better money vs slave labor 40 to 60 hours a week. I've yet to meet a man or woman who would not prefer working for themselves instead of working for someone else. All of us are driven to acquire FREEDOM.

You cannot lump all the retailers together.



Ultra Lazy gullible Retail investor / trader - 0.0000001% actually win
Retail investor.... 5% actually win
Retail swing trader.... 5% actually win
Retail day trader .... 10% actually win *


* You rarely see investors and swing traders in the
trading houses / hubs.
The overhead to lease a trading desk could be around $1k/month.

The below numbers are from Futures and Options traders in India but more or less it happens everywhere.
Number of traders 45200000
Males 80% Females 20%
89% of F&O traders lost money.
11% made money but the top 3% took 80% of the profits.

The reality is only the top 3% can make a living out of trading.
