Researchers Think They Know Why College-Educated People Support The Tea Party

Thanks for providing the unintended parody of a clueless liberal unwilling to demand even the simplest acts of responsibility from people who want to live off other people's money.

You really are a piece of work.

Does he drink or do drugs during the day? No person with any kind of intelligence could post such nonsensical drivel. ALWAYS making EXCUSES for people who CHOOSE to take no RESPONSIBILITY for their own lives!!

But this reminds me of a passage from Will and Ariel Durant's The Lessons of History:

"Nor does human nature alter as between classes: by and large the poor have the same impulses as the rich, with only less opportunity or skill to implement them. Nothing is clearer in history than the adoption by successful rebels of the methods they were accustomed to condemn in the forces they deposed."

Thus, one needs to be wary and cynical of those advocating change who actually make the effort. More often than not, they're not interested in change, only power....

And once they taste power and all its perks and privileges, their entire focus is avoiding the loss of power. The initial ideals are irrelevant, a means to the end....

That's why separating politicians by ideology is naive. Politicians are all the same. The only differences are the lies they tell to stay in power...

If I have a signature, this is what I'd put....

Why do politicians use the "two-handed handshake"? To hold you steady, facing them, as their allies shiv you in the back...

A possible solution (of many) is this:

1. Create military schools - compulsory for all males between 10 and 20
2. At age 20, make them serve 5 years actual military service
3. Limit all social interactions between the sexes during this period.

Upshot, crime drops like a rock since most crime is committed by males between 12 and 29. Ditto with unwanted/unsupportable pregnancies...

Downside - there goes the high school/college/professional sports leagues, along with the video game, tech, music, and movie businesses... They won't be completely eliminated, but their size/power/influence will be greatly decreased....

So the question begs, do you want to live with the downsides of welfare, crime, teen pregnancy, drug dealing, media sensationalism, etc in order to enjoy the upside of mass entertainment?
