Wow, get rid of the national debt and in essence eliminate Treasuries. Who the heck would want Social Security invested in corporate bonds or even the stock market? And what happens to trade, specifically China which pegs its currency to the dollar?
And no deficit spending?? So everyone takes a boat ride to Normandy Beach but once there they have to turn back because furthering on would result in a deficit back home. Would the Interstate Highway System still be built? Would government research still exist?
And reduce the size of govt?? LOL! Not only did you Teadiots vote for Generalissimo Bush twice, a majority of you people thought he was a good president!

2. as to your point about financing. Not that I advocate deficit spending... but in war if the govt needs to they can just print. You don't need to borrow from private bankers to print.
