Who thinks the US Govt should make the call to the Plunge Protection Team?

Its been a while since we saw the PPT in action - Im sure they're itching to get in front of their trading terminals and buy the market back up. after all, they kept the market at stoopid heights back in 07-08 and before that when everyone knew the market was being artificially supported.

Bring back the PPT?

PPT has been operating in the markets since 2008, not only are they broke, but they are powerless. I personally, with my own two eyes, saw the PPT's most forceful intervention since 2008 on Friday afternoon and look how well that turned out..

yeah but they have bottomless pockets - i mean they can always go to QE4 to answer their margin call - which i guess theyre gunna have to do..
