I didn't go to China to pick it up. LOL. But like I said it's Titanium not plastic. Very hard to come by and definitely not at $30.

24-inch monitor is nice to view about 1-2 feet away. I had tried a 26-inch one time and had returned it. Having a "BIG" monitor (26-inch or higher) close-up without added resolution (remained as 1920 x 1080 on the 26-inch) is not worth it IMO.

Are you certain the resolution of the Samsung I ordered won't do. It's 1920 x 1080P and LED. Here's the description.

Three feet away is only a yard. The Keyboard is at least a foot deep and with a 40" you can't even sit that close as there's a lot of real estate to take in.

I am not sure what you meant by "won't do" radist. All I said was having a 40-inch TV/monitor only 1 to 2 feet away, with a resolution of only 1920 x 1080, is UNCOMFORTABLE after a while, and I suspect you will get eye-straint quickly with watching the information on it all day. Without higher resolutions (e.g. 2560 x 1440 or more), IMO any monitor above 26-inch is not useful.

It's true. They don't come with adjustable stands or a swivel for rotating 90-degree.

You may want to consider getting your own mount/stand for the monitor.

With mine... some of them are on the plastic stands they provided. Other ones are mounted on some 3M extended arms I got from Office Depot. This one:

This arm doesn't rotate from landscape to portrait.
