This is seriously getting old. We elect republicans, most whom run against Obama. then they get into office and immediately forget everything they ran on and start sucking up to big business lobbyists. They have done it with defunding obamacare (too controversial), immigration amnesty ( need to to appeal to the 20% hispanic republican vote), Iran nukes and now trade. It is incomprehensible but they are prepared to vote to give Obama fast track authority to sign a trade deal they haven't read.

This is the same obama who has brazenly staged an unconstitutional power grab( they couldn't oppose him because minorities would be upset). He tried to ban common ammo. He has opened our borders to an army of illegals and put them on a five year plan for citizenship with green cards and full taxpayer-provided benefits. He allowed the IRS to abuse conservative groups and has done nothing to investigate it or prosecute those responsible. He has stonewalled a host of scandals from Fast and Furious to Benghazi.

Yet Senate republicans are ready to hand him authority to negotiate a trade deal they won't be able to amend or stop. As GOA notes, this deal could involve everything from gun bans to unchecked immigration. In addition, it will further erode our sovereignty by subjecting our laws to repeal by another multinational panel.

Ironically, many democrats oppose it, yet toady republicans can't get it through quickly enough.

let me ask you this... since nafta have chinesse imports increased or decreased.
China... crowded out brasil and mexico in part do to their their dollar peg and our wall street bankers and the S&P firms assisting in the technology transfer.
 
well first of all, let me say this. It is hard to admit any politician I voted for is not doing exactly what he promised to do. I try to play by the rules. Are you 100% sure this game is not rigged?

They can test the game to it's limits, but even the democrats and communists will eventually have to yield to the law of math.
 
Karl Marx knew all about what to do with a republican after he had made all his money, but never could show a democrat how to become a republican.

In 1970 70% of all jobs in Baltimore were manufacturing. In 2015 6% of all jobs in Baltimore are manufacturing.

I personally believe that trade barriers are needed that are country-specific unless we intend to be the supplier of Big Macs to the world and little else.
