Here's something for the entire Right to come to grips with. By 1980, the US was the greatest creditor nation the world had ever seen. By 1990 the US had become the greatest debtor nation the world had ever known. If only we knew which party was at the helm during that period...
true teabaggers like me are Taxed Enough Already. We don't give a shit about immigration, terrorists, abortion or education or infrastructure, or even the debt or deficit if you can add to it without raising my taxes.
Talk all you want and I will listen, until it involves raising my taxes just a teeny, little bit (which is how it is always sold.) And your side can't come up with an idea that doesn't involve eventually even more taxes. Nothing your side comes up with is sustainable because the democrats have no idea where money comes from (unless it's a bribe.) They just think as long as somebody owns a yacht there is plenty of more money out there to tax and spend as they see fit.

A less stable world. Iran with nukes.. more companies and jobs going overseas... and the complete destruction of the chance they have for single payer health insurance. I don't know why your team is happy. If more food stamps makes you happy, we can do that in the third party... that is not a big deal.
More food stamps... more govt benes and much lower income tax... can be done if we give less money to the cronies.

What spending cuts were those, again? The ones that only allowed for the doubling of US Govt spending in the last 10 years, instead of tripling?
So, just curious, but you think this change had everything to do with what political party controlled the White House or Congress during this period? That was the only deciding difference in factors between the 90s and period up to the 80s?

We need them because they are a hurdle, however small, which does slow down the radical left. The differences between the parties, both criminally corrupt, has become microscopic. Jimmy Carter would be seen as a conservative in todays world, and JFK, they'd just shoot that MoFo. OH wait. Never mind.
it would be better to give the democrats full power until they run out of money. The only solution is for EVERYBODY not just the republicans and the libertarians to start bitching about the government instead of each other. Nothing brings a family together like poverty.
