Republicans lose another member

AP -- Minority Republicans in the Maine House have lost a member.

Rep. Jim Campbell of Newfield said Thursday he's withdrawn from the Republican Party and will become the only legislator with no party affiliation. That leaves the House with 95 Democrats, 55 Republicans and one unenrolled or independent member. The Senate also is controlled by Democrats.

Very interesting that someone rated this thread as "one star."
The ratings have been bogus for some time now. ET righties routinely rate threads depending on whether they are "liberal" or "conservative". Naturally your thread about somebody quitting the corrupt GOP would get a bad rating.

Did you consider the possibility that one member in a small state legislature switching parties and not affecting the balance of power is not a significant piece of news?

Except he didn't switch parties. He just didn't want to be a Republican anymore. Given all the craziness (teabaggers, birthers, deathers, etc.) it's understandable that the few remaining sane members of the GOP are getting fed up with the raving nutjobs.

You draw sweeping conclusions based upon the actions of one republican?
No, I came to that conclusion before this thread was started, based on the actions of other Republicans. It's a theory; if you have a better one, present it.

How about one guy was really never at home in the republicans, or he had a pissing contest with leadership, or he has an unstable personality, or he hates someone republican.

Generally sweeping conclusions like yours are wrong.

Especially now they've gone batshit crazy. Like I said. :)

Ok, you got your parties and your choices: bigger government with Republicans or Bigger Government with Democrats.. they all make their money out of the government btw...
