Republicans, Even their family hates them

This is not so much about politics as it is about the natural breadth of our human psyche and the reality that deranged people can be charismatic and convincing enough that they can attract a surprisingly large following drawn from those most impressionable. We see that perfectly illustrated in the situation we find ourselves in today.

They really need to push oratory in high school so people aren't surprised when someone can put two sentences together.

I've been reading Oscar Wilde lately. I suppose it may have had undue influence over me.

Oscar Wilde describing Lord Henry's wife ...
She laughed nervously as she spoke, and watched [Dorian Gray] with her vague forget-me-not eyes. She was a curious woman, whose dresses always looked as if they had been designed in a rage and put on in a tempest. She was usually in love with somebody, and, as her passion was never returned, she had kept all her illusions. She tried to look picturesque, but only succeeded in being untidy. Her name was Victoria, and she had a perfect mania for going to church.

Oscar Wilde describing Lord Henry's wife exiting through a door...
...looking like a bird of paradise that had been left out all night in the rain, she flitted out of the room, leaving a faint odor of frangipanni.
