Republican Trump says 70 percent of federal regulations 'can go'

He'll sell the White House to the Chinese or Icahn (not sure which is worse) and say it's the smartest thing he ever did.

that would indeed be a laudable move, the day chinese take over my native country, at long last i ll be able to move back home. Not holding my breath but we can always dream of better days...

Democracy is soooo overrated...

I know it s written ironically but still agree with the above. As of Sig writing a long pro federal government rant in.a different thread, it turns out he was employed there and probably reaped great benefits. Not too bad per se but it explains his pov, hardly an objective one.

I was a military officer, does that change your view of me as a "pro federal government" ranter? Explaining that federal employees don't pass laws and that it's their job to enforce the laws Congress passed hardly makes one a biased pro federal government extremist, more of a middle school civics teacher pointing out the obvious to a group of people who are clearly ignorant of how their government works.

What have you done for your country, by the way? If you're going to judge me as not being objective simply because I have experience where you do not, let's put your contributions on the line here. I mean if you're a doctor do I get to say we shouldn't listen to your opinions on medicine because you've benefited from it? Or my opinions on flying helicopters (my military profession) are to be ignored because I reaped great benefits from my several thousand hours flying? This anti-intellectualism is stunning really.

I was referring to another of your recent post in a different thread, where you insisted to compare USA to Somalia to make the point USA has a good system, not to the bit about Congress and laws.
Also I fail to see what is honourable in beeing a US military officer, or in crapping the world in the name of serving your country. And it definetely makes you biaised.

Most people say thanks for your service. Some spit in your face. I put my life on the line for both. And once again you seem stunningly unaware that military members don't choose what they're told to do, our elected Congress members and President do. And in most cases we don't even have the chance to leave until our obligated service is up. Again I ask you what sacrifices you've made for the United States?

BTW, was anything I said in that thread inaccurate or wrong? If so one would think you'd address those actual issues there rather than coming to a different thread and baselessly accusing me of not being objective simply because I've served?

Why would I do anything for the USA, and a sacrifice on top of that ?
If you don't live here then wtf are you doing on a thread about U.S. regulations pontificating about how biased U.S. government employees are?
If you do live here, you display the self awareness and petulance of a 5 year old thinking that everyone should hand you a safe, prosperous country and you not only shouldn't have to be bothered to lift a finger in help but can denigrate those who did.
