Fair enough. It's a pity that during this crisis the government could borrow money from the taxpayer to save the bankers, and get paid back, but the government couldn't borrow money from the bankers to save the taxpayers, and get paid back. No matter what happens it's always the bankers who come out smelling like roses.
Its because the everyday "taxpayers" who get in a mess are incapable of paying the money back. Its sad, but its reality, viable businesses that can get through a tough time like 2008, eventually start making money again, and have the ability to repay a loan.
A person who loses his job and has his mortgage 300k under water, has little to no ability to pay the loan back, if these people could have paid the loan back i would have been all for lending the money, i got no problem with the government giving money to the little guy to give him a hand, provided it gets paid back, but 99% of the time, in a scenario like that the people can not pay it back. My problem is with the people who perpetually live off the government tit without giving anything back.
