Quote from Cache Landing:
I'm starting to wonder if you have truely researched the mormon story, beyond the typical one sided anti-mormon hate material. The evidence against it is anything but ironclad when presented without bias. That said, the evidence for it is not iron clad either. That is the whole intent of mormonism. Every member and convert without exception is taught to "study it out in their mind" whether these things be true, and then make their own decision. The mormon church is not trying to prove its truthfullness, nor does it need to.
In terms of whether being mormon disqualifies someone from the presidency, you'll have to provide an example of what he might do as president that wouldn't be good for the country as a result of being mormon.
Yeah romney's whole life has been a chronical of disastrous decisions brought on by his mormonism. Not really. None of the candidates in either party can match his accomplishments, nor the way he has lived his life. If there is one thing I am confident of, it is that he will not be some embarrassing national televangelist for the LDS. It's funny that people who profess to be worried about his faith don't seem to have a problem with Bill Clinton being loose in the White House again.
