Global warming is real, just look at historic paintings and photos of the U.S. Rocky mountains in summer. The mountains are mostly snowfree in Summer now compared to considerable snowcover in historic summer photos.

The burning of fossil fuels releases greenhouse gases. Thus man is a constributor to global warming.

The multi-million dollar anti-global warming campaign is designed to forestall regulatory action and potential lawsuits by big polluters and companies that have interests in hydrocarbon extraction. Who else has millions of dollars to spend for lobbying, counter-studies, and promotion?

Although there will be global population and economic dislocations due to sea level rise and weather pattern changes, it is not going to be the end of the world.

Indeed, the overall bio-potential of our planet is increased by higher temperatures.

There appears to be either little that can be done or little that will be done concerning this issue. Either way, most of the debate on climate change is merely an academic excerise that takes focus away from the issues that we can do something about.
