republican? Ignorance Is Strength

So I'll concede most professors identify themselves as "liberal", but what proof is there that political opinions are being taught? I don't remember any of my profs even mentioning politics. I'll concede that maybe my sociology prof had a liberal stance but that's the extent of it. How does getting an education make someone liberal? That's a tough question for the conservatives.

"Colleges are instead a reflection of reality. If colleges look liberal, it’s because reality is liberal.

So what’s a conservative to do? Change and adaptation are antithetical to conservatism, so instead the buckle down and shove their fingers in their ears even harder. They denounce education, denounce learning, and try everything they can to undermine the threat to their understanding of the world. This usually is in the form of disuading people away from education, like Santorum just did, cutting funding to education, or even building up their own bubble.

It is possible for a child to go from home school, to a private evangelical college, to the job place without ever having to come in contact with a new idea. Naturally, the results are disastrous, but since they’ve been brought up to believe that the conservative world view is unquestionably correct, the fault for failure must always rest with some foreign enemy or saboteur."

Let's not lose reference to the definition of the word 'liberal' ok?

lib·er·al (lbr-l, lbrl)
adj.
1.
a. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
b. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded

Where is the bad part? I know many who are broad minded and yet have conservative ideals. As I've said so many times, social liberalism and fiscal conservatism seems like a good thing overall.

To be fair and balanced:
con·ser·va·tive (kn-sûrv-tv)
adj.
1. Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.
2. Traditional or restrained in style: a conservative dark suit.
3. Moderate;

Yes, I'm serious. How exactly is a liberal agenda taught in college?

None of my profs ever got on a soapbox. They just taught the subject.

If by broad minded, open to new ideas, then maybe he's right about the college Prof's opening up our minds to new things. See the simple definition above.

That doesn't mean that they're teaching any kind of wild extremes many think they're doing.

Statistically speaking wouldn't that be a very small, irrelevant, sample size?

Quote from Lucrum:

You said it yourself "Education can only cure ignorance, not stupidity."
Sorry, your neck is not out quite far enough for all the world to see. Explain the connection to AA you referenced earlier.

Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:

Liberals bring the "special" to special education. :p
Liberals tend to HAVE an education.

For example:

Statistically speaking wouldn't that be a very small, irrelevant, sample size?
If I were to ask Lucrum if he had ever read a text on statistics from cover to cover, what do you think his response would be, assuming, of course, that he mustered up enough honesty to answer truthfully?
