Republican Gaetz denies ‘false’ sex allegations, won’t resign

Washington: Florida Republican Matt Gaetz says he will not leave Congress and denies that he “slept with” an underage girl, suggesting that accusations against him by political foes stem from anger that he “loathes the swamp”.

In a column appearing in the Washington Examiner, a conservative news outlet, the embattled politician predicted that “some of my feckless colleagues in Congress” would call for him to step down.

“No, I am absolutely not resigning,” he wrote on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) in one of his first public comments about the allegations.

Gaetz: My father is a Lutheran, my mother is Methodist. While I've attended church with both throughout my life, I was saved in a Baptist Church during my teenage years. I am a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach. The Bible, the Gospel--these are our instructions from God. We are to follow faithfully.

Because the church has never been guilty of impropriety w/minors.

Dude...that's a real horror story for me. I was in the military (an officer) and met the base General's daughter (17 years old)...

She behaved just like that after using a fake ID to sneak into a local bar. She looked more like a Jessica Alba (hence my meme joke).

All I could think about was Fort Leavenworth (prison) or some remote post in Alaska. She harassed / stalked me for about two months and then threaten to tell her father (the General).

I requested a transfer to Seoul, Korea. :D
