Republican Debate Turns Into Fiasco For CNBC

The victimhood continues.

CNBC responded with a single line: “People who want to be President of the United States should be able to answer tough questions.”

Becky Quick asked Rubio insulting questions about his personal finances. How many questions like that did Hillary get? It's not like there isn't plenty to go into, eg cattle futures prearranged profits, Rose Law Firm, making off with White House furniture, Chelsea's $600k starter job, etc etc. They would never ask something personally embarrassing to a democrat, certainly not Hillary. With the republicans, it's like the National Inquirer ran the debate.

There's nothing wrong with tough questions on the issues. This entire debate, and the equally lame Fox debate, were directed instead at gotcha, personal questions and questions designed to get one candidate to attack another. They may think it's great TV, but the audience disagreed.

And let's not forget, this is the same media that attack Trump for not being substantive enough. So what substantive questions did they ask him? One about being a cartoon and yet another about his Atlantic City bankruptcies.

What does that even mean? If these debates are to be about forcing the candidates to justify themselves and explain every incident in their past, why don't the same rules hold for the democrats?
For a guy that denies Obama's past as being born in America, can you really say that with a straight face? This is a game played by both sides. Sometimes the republicans play it better, sometimes the democrats. It is a disgrace the game is played at all.

That being said, I agree with you. I agree with Christie. Let's spend two hours talking about

Taxes
Education
Immigration
SuperPACs
Health care
Social Security
Climate change
Foreign Policy
Lobbying
Guns
Religious Freedom vs Separation of Church and State
Size of government
Wage inequality
The FED
The IRS
What should be handled by states and federal
etc

These are the issues. I think everyone on both sides has explicit details on all of these issues on their website. You can find out where they stand. These debates are not really about the issues, it is about seeing who people like. Who comes across as the most genuine and like-able, i.e., Presidential. Who can be personally attacked and still maintain composure.

If you want the real details, all of these peoples' records to a great detail, fantasy or not, are online to see.

None of this matters to the left and evidenced by our resident lefties. Expose the lies, the double standards, the painfully obvious media bias, etc., etc., all meaningless. Now if it's republican/FOX News spewing some bullshit, it's a big deal, REALLY BIG DEAL.
Better get it through your heads, the left doesn't care about facts. They don't care about truth. The law means nothing. Rules mean nothing. They'll look straight into the camera, tell the lie, get caught in the lie and tell another one while waiting for media to circle the wagons. Their idiot base couldn't care less.
