Weed prohibition history isnt exactly high(no pun intended) on my list.

Because if weed is legal, then stoners wont have anything to talk about.

I'm against the legalization of weed. Alcohol is different because there is a safe level to drink, and that safe level is legal. It's illegal to drive drunk and to be publicly intoxicated, as I think it should be.
I'm not an expert in weed because I don't do it, but it's my understanding that there is no safe level of weed where you're mind isn't altered when you are high. If you are high, then you are high. And I don't think we want people driving down the road at sixty mph high on weed. I know I don't want the guy coming towards me to have his mind altered.

And that's why I think it's good public policy for weed to be illegal and alcohol to have limits.

Don't bother telling me how stupid i am because studies show this or that. If the mind is altered, that is no condition to drive in my book. Sorry.

No one wants zonked out people driving. Making weed legal might slightly increase the number doing it, but anyone who wants to drive stoned is already doing it. The question is, do we want to continue to enrich drug cartels or recognize reality and end the War on Drugs?

The vast majority of horrific accidents, particularly those involving young people, is a result of drunk driving, not weed. Alcohol impairs judgment and encourages crazy risk taking. Weed is more the opposite. People get very mellow and passive.

i.e. "unforeseen", as in not disclosed...kinda like the same problems every major auto manufacturer has had in recent years...considering recent news of the "hack-ability" of certain cars, I don't think that a self-driving car would be re-assuring.

Not really...a computer hack, you still live...your car gets hacked, you're a goner.

In all fairness though...I'd prefer to have a pre-1996 car and skip those emissions tests as well.
