Reply feature doesn't work in PM

I'm really enjoying the feature that allows highlighting specific parts of a post and getting that little reply option popping up which then quotes the selected passage in your reply box. This way, its easy to reply to each sentence in a cohesive manner.

I notice though that this doesn't work in PM. Usually in PM I guess we are only replying to one person, but it would be nice to reply to individual sentences one at a time. Is it too much trouble to make this great reply feature from the journals work exactly the same when sending PM's?
