Replacing WealthLab

Many people are using Ninja Trader for custom indicators. It uses C# for its scripting. It can be free if your Broker is willing to provide it. Mine does. You can try it out on End-Of-Day data for free.

It doesn't worth the risk of some hacker getting all your private info. Only stupid, low IQ people use key generators because they do not understand the high risks involved in doing it.

Only if you don't know what you're doing. Any piece of software can be and is being used maliciously. I could argue that no one should drive a car because cars kill people.
What you didn't know was that you cannot purchase Wealth Lab 4 legally, it's abandonware.
 
P2P WL4 is probably as likely to be infested with a trojan of as the keygen. You can work around this with virtualisation, but if you are going to run live systems you will have to have broker login information somewhere on that system - making your account vulnerable.
 
Is the basic premise of this thread really true? I know that Wealth-Lab entered into an agreement with Fidelity.

I still see a purchase button on their website http://www.wealth-lab.com/. I don't see any big banner saying that they are out of business. Their forum has posts today.

Long before I would go to P2P or keygen, I would talk to them about their migration path. If Fidelity has an exclusive deal but doesn't want to offer it, that is exactly the kind of situation where judges look to the greater good. Perhaps you can think your way to a solution.
 
I was a long-term user of WealthLab and recently switched to AmiBroker (still evaluating). It's pretty capable and definitely a good value. At least worth a look.
