The progressives will not be figuring out how to get their people to fit into the dem party or to get them to show to vote for a dem-dud if bernie loses.

They are moving toward their own party-within-a-party for now. And the other dems will need to deal with them as a block in the future. They have already given Pelosi and Schumer a little preview of it in the past.

Having Bernie get the nomination will be good for their power status. And having Bernie not get the nomination will be good for their power status.

This is just another facet of the well-discussed "coming war within the dem party. More to come."

Note further, that AOC has withheld her dues to the dem party. Expect that to spread rapidly too, as another dimension of the larger picture.
