Rep. Darrell Issa Alleges Bernanke Cover-Up!

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

I viewed Issa as a flake in the late 90's when he was running around California trying to buy up any political seat in sight.

He will be on CNBC's "Squawk Box" early tomorrow morning at 7AM Eastern. Should be fun to watch . . . just before Bernanke appears later in front of a Congressional panel over the allegations stemming from the BAC/MER deal.

All of Wall Street will be tuned in for this!
:D

Great theater.

Bernanke just told Kucinnich that he demanded top level executive changes after the bailout as part of his regulatory role. The meeting is a joke, they are complaning the regulator used their powers

Exactly.
And as it is, the regulatory powers that Congress has given the Fed has very few "strings" attached.

Meanwhile, it is once again very clear to me from watching this "theater" that the majority of Congress still doesn't have a clue as to what the FED is in charge of, and what the TREASURY is in charge of.

Jackie Spears kept asking Bernanke about BAC's dealings with the SEC. He obviously couldn't care less about the SEC. It's not his role. Duh.

What a joke this is.

It is the biggest single example of what is so freaking wrong with this Country . . . A most ignorant Congress looking at "face-time" on TV to justify their existence, second-guessing the most powerful man in the Nation.

Pathetic.

So far I have never trusted that Issa guy. Which is a little surprising because he is frequently on the correct side of the issue, imo.

Bet congress will have a hearing on why they are not choosing all executive pay and firing bad bank ceos soon. They complain the fed was too tough on bank ceos then complain treasury is not being tough enough
