Will there be a slight pause like 2-3 seconds between switching over from cable/dsl or is it almost instantaneous? thanks

I am thinking of switching over to yahooDSL. They are offering the deluxe package with double the upload speed (256 instead of 128) for $10/month more. For a scalper is it worth it? Will I see a difference or am I just throwing my money away?

I don't think upload speed is that important. Let's say your order requires 1000 Bytes to be sent from your computer to your broker's. If your upload speed is 128 kbps the transmission of that data will take .06 seconds, if your upload speed is 256, it will take .03 seconds. It would probably add more to your overall speed if you spent $120 per year more on a slightly faster computer.
