What's good about Sterling Technologies (www.sterlingtechnologiesinc.com) is that they do exactly what it takes to be one of the best small footprint DA (direct access) software platforms. Namely, frequent recompilations which take advantage of the newer Pentium instruction sets.
Incidently, if one kept their 6th grade Economics books and attended Sophmore level Economics, would those lessons still be relevant. Mildly so. Similarly, DA software that was built on Pentium II compilers really doesn't fully utilize the power of the newer Pentium IV instruction sets. Makes sense now?
