I remember the Hong Kong Flu.
Altogether different. Literally the only manifestation of that disease I saw was a kid in my 2cnd grade class got sick and left school for the rest of the year. The rest of the country went on with its business, nothing closed.
People were calmer. Closing down the country was inconceivable.

It's amazing how many Americans still think Trump is competent. The numbers don't lie, Canada is getting hit far less by the virus then the US on any metric. There are reasons why but ego prevents many Americans from addressing those systematic issues. Trump has thoroughly mismanaged the whole thing and it turns out lying about the virus didn't help

And Nigeria has been hit far less than Canada. They have about 1/50th the cases canada has despite 5x the population. Guess that means Trudeau is far less competent than some nigerian president and canada has a worse healthcare system than nigeria. I mean, number's don't lie, right?
