Apparently now, Swedish government is offering to pay them $34,000 each to leave Sweden. (Saw it on Bloomberg TV.) Not clear if it's "34K/person"... including kids. Does that mean a muslim man with 2 wives and 6 kids could get 9x $34,000 to leave?? Rod Serling would be proud of this episode.

Please.. make it make sense.

They didn’t come to Europe for a better life by choice—most of their countries were devastated, and European civilization played a part in that destruction. So, if we caused it, it's time to pay up. There was a time to throw stones, now it’s time to gather them.

Most absolutely came by choice. Vast majority are just economic migrants. Even countries like Iraq are very safe these days yet the people keep on coming. US is leading most of these wars in the Middle East on behalf of Israel, yet somehow it's the "European civilisation" which is to blame.
The slavery argument is the silliest of all. Nearly all civilisations had slaves, some like the US simply ended it much later. Reparations are just a pathetic attempt to extract money.

The problem isn't just about past slavery but ongoing injustices that continue today. It's convenient for white Europeans to kneel before small groups whom they didn't directly harm, aside from perhaps actions of distant ancestors. Yet they don't acknowledge those they're oppressing right now, or the elders still alive who have experienced occupation and genocide firsthand. Americans don't kneel before Native Americans or Vietnamese. French don't kneel before Laotians. Germans don't kneel before Russians. Until nations recognize their responsibility in genocide and the destruction of states, others may strive to undermine our statehood through legal means. It takes courage to acknowledge these harsh realities and seek true reconciliation.
