I agree. Chertoff has done little other than provide some media events. Anyone with a brain saw this coming when the response to a bureaucratic mess that prevented us from being ready for 9/11 was to create an even bigger bureaucratic mess.

Actually I don't disagree with that either. I've seen no evidence that he is a dual citizen although he could become one for the asking. Other than that he has indeed done absolutely nothing about illegal immigration. Nor has any other member of the Bush administration so I simply see no point in singling him out. The fish rots from the head so if anyone needs to be singled out and blamed for the crisis - it's Bush/Cheney you voted for twice.
